Recognized by sight: Growing from the ground; the cap color in pic 2 looks more like Cortinarius. Check for a bitter flavor, and also to see if they are growing from buried wood.

They are definitely growing from wood, picture 2 seems to be a different set of mushrooms. I think I uploaded that on accident. One of the stems from the specimens I picked still has a chunk of log from where I pulled it off a rotting tree. They are bitter and stained purple/blue/dark red now where damaged after more drying.
