Observation 285689: Hydnellum P. Karst.

Growing in leaf litter; associated with roots. Oak trees adjacent on east-facing shore of reservoir.
Found in the same location as those on 2017-07-03 in observation http://mushroomobserver.org/285679
Oldest specimen just developing. Including a couple of specimens just showing stipe; one with teeth nubs and the second with stipes developing, but no cap development.
Caps, ca 1.0 inches diameter. Surface beige-light brown, velvety. Surface bruising brown.
Teeth just developing; white. Discreet interface between tooth surface and stipe. Teeth approximately 1 mm long.
Stipe pinkish-brown.
