Fruiting of “grisette” clade of Amanita is abundant in Fall in this area. The forest is dominated by fir, hemlock, Spruce and Western red cedar trees.
Volva: tight, sac like.
Cap: silver, gray-covering washed away from heavy rains. Typical corrugated cap margin indicative of all Amanita sec. vaginata.
