Notes:
Rare member of the “reindeer lichen”-subs. Claudine at this location. Attached article below from DNR and research of this rare phenomenon. Apparently the hypothesis is that the controlled annual burns by native tribes of the area(to ensure camas root production) may play a role in these rare species proliferating. Generally, Claudine are most commonly found in boreal/northern forests above the USA.
