On maple logs destined to become firewood.

Asci observed to contain 4 large spores, with 4 other small hyaline spores jammed into the spaces between the large ones. This particular trait seems distinctive and is reported for B. inquinans. Best seen in the ascus found in the upper left of the 6th photo.
