Nectriaceous fungi are notoriously difficult to identify to species with good photography/notes and microscopy, much less without that information. assertions that this is any one Nectria spp. in particular when not even the substrate is known is pure fancy, and particularly when the species being postulated is N. cinnabarina; every field guide’s favorite wastebin taxon for anything small, round and red.
