Observation 28771: Hypholoma fasciculare (Huds.) P. Kumm.
When: 2009-11-25
Collection location: Southeast Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)
No specimen available
Notes:
A brilliant and large clump of Hypholoma fasciculare fruiting in a neighbor’s front yard. I suspect they are arising from a root of a recently killed (cut) Acer macrophyllum. Although the tree was taken down 6 months ago, this is the only fungi which might be growing from the roots at this time.
