A single fruitbody found in pure deciduous woods dominated by beech, maple, tulip poplar and oak. The cap color is fairly accurate (brownish-yellow), having been photographed in natural scattered light.
Approximate dimensions (calculated by proportion from objects of known length): cap = 6.5 cm in diameter max; stipe = 17 cm.
I did not save this one.
