I was removing an overgrown spearmint plant and found it hiding behind it on a cottonwood stump. The tree had been cut down 7 to 8 years ago. It is growing at the base and was well protected from the sun. It is starting to dry up. I will cut a piece off and dry it. This is my first time posting, please excuse any mistakes. Mild flavor , smelled minty probably because of spearmint growing through it. Firm flesh. Light brownish where dried. Yellowing below dried part. White stain-like on stump where growing and about a foot away.
