Growing alone on soil near oaks, with a few white pines scattered around. Cap 5 cm, light grayish tan and finely cracked. Flesh white, unchanging when cut. Stipe 1 cm thick, equal, by 4 cm long, white with brown scabers. Flesh white, unchanging when cut. Pores cream to buff, unbruising. Tubes concolorous with pores, 10 mm deep.
