Notes:
Abundant clusters lined both sides of a dirt path in this mixed hardwoods forest. Representative cap:11 cm. (largest seen but not collected measured 14 cm.). Pores = 1/mm. Tube length = 1.4 cm. Stipe: 11 cm. X 1.6 largest in the center, scabers (initially yellow and darken to brown) are arranged along the ridges and grooves of the stipe, yellow mycelium at base. Flesh at apex of stipe bruises slowly
red (after about 20 minutes) when sliced. Obtained brown spore print.
