amazing that you remembered the tree 13 years later!
FWIW, Else also found a protecta in the Five Brooks area in 2007.

Found near the ponds close to the horse stables. 5 Brooks? I forget the name of the trailhead.
Mushrooms hunters often remember the exact spot. And I’ve been back looking for more and noting the trees. Sadly no luck.
