Observation 290419: Mycena (Pers.) Roussel

Notes:
Found along the Appalachian trail somewhere in the Siler’s Bald area, GSMNP, NC.
Growing from moss covered wood. Toothy looking pileus margin. Small fibrils on stipe. Young specimen has a dark, almost black stipe, mature specimens have whitish stipe fading to darker near the base.
