Observation 290585: Entoloma Fr. ex P. Kumm.

When: 2017-09-09

Collection location: Boyd Big Tree Conservation Area, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: billyd

No specimen available

Notes:
Under hemlock and oak. No smell. Taste bitter. I really questioned if there are two different species in the photo but after some comparing both in the field I determined they were the same. Maybe someone thinks differently

the Tricholoma notch in the gill attachment, but the pink hue in the gills in the mature specimens does indicate Entoloma. Ive never seen these before.
