Looks like it is perlatum by ITS

I don’t see any pyriforme sequences showing up in the default BLASTn. If you run a BLASTn specifically searching for pyriforme, the hit list will contain a dozen or so accessions with similarities <90% and query covers of >90%. Of course, all these searches depend on the correctness of ID associated with GB accessions. We already know that there is ton of junk ID’s there, so a careful interpretation of results is needed. Here, however, we have an open and shut case, as the two names don’t intermix in the default BLASTn.
M. Kuo has already speculated that pyriforme is neither a member of Lycoperdon nor Morganella: https://www.mushroomexpert.com/lycoperdon_pyriforme.html.

I’m very confused by the ITS sequence

Because these are what I think of as Lycoperdon pyriforme but the ITS is a clear match with L. perlatum.
