This is certainly a species of stirps Hemibapha in sect. Caesareae….

I hesitate to go all the way on say “A. jacksonii” because of the growing number of similar taxa that are known from Florida and the Gulf Coast regions (and especially because of the yellowish region at the cap margin). Dried specimens would be very useful. There are several labs presently working on Amanita sect. Caesareae phylogenetics. Dried specimens would be sent out for DNA studies as well as studied morphologically.
