was leading a hike and people tend to get antsy when one is trying to get that perfect photo.

Didnt collect either as when on a hike people tend to get excited about the prospect of wanting to eat it.

The surface of the stalk is nothing like anything I have seen in that it looks like pores. As you point out there doesnt appear to be any pores. Is there something that mimics boletes?
