Observation 291788: Postia caesia group

Notes:

Appears to be a species of “Blueing Bracket.” ID’d from images on internet.

Habitat: mixed Hemlock – hardwood (oak, hickory, etc)
Near upper Slaughter Creek Road, elevation about 935 m.
Substrate: on a decorticated log, believe to be hardwood.

The hairy layer on top easily rubbed off exposing smooth, blueing surface below.
Inside soft and white.
