stem too thick

The stem seems to be too thick on these, should be 2 – 5 mm.
in the tiny photo, the gill color and veil does look reminescent of another psath that i saw back east this summer. hypholoma sp. was just fallback from the wrong Hypholoma sp…entirely possible that they got the genus wrong, too…
