One of these was found with the cap knocked off the stipe. The exposed context (at the stipe/cap juncture) was stained violet-purple. Cut context stained slowly vinaceous (especially in the cap).

Spores (from smash mount) ~16-19 × 7-8.

Cystidia on gills appear to be thick-walled.

Mixed woods with white pine present.
