Observation 296380: Resupinatus Nees ex Gray

Habitat: Growing in clusters on a downed hardwood branch at the base of a ridge in a dense mixed hardwood forest (with some pines) in Northwest Georgia. Branch is also covered in moss, lichens, and a white crust fungus.

Size: Tiny. Each shell-shaped mushroom was about the size of the tip of my pinkie finger.

Gills: Gray to black and of varying lengths. Medium spaced.

Stipe: none

Cap/upper surface: Black to gray with lighter gray at edges.

Spore print: Unable to obtain. Possibly white (see photos for flecks of white on gills)
