The gills don’t look right for either Leratiomyces ceres nor var. thraustus. Not sure what to call it. Found in sandy riparian zone in hardwood forest growing in area dominated by bamboo shoots.

The gill spacing seems wide for L. squamosus.

But, looking at MO observations, I see a fair amount of variability with respect to this trait. Here’s one IDed as such with fairly widely spaced gills obs 258835.

Maybe some other rare species of Leratiomyces…?
