I think your ID of H. turunda may be incorrect. H. turunda is separated from H. cantharellus by the fact the squamules on the cap are brown. I’m not sure I see squamules – but in any case the cap has no hint of brown that I see. ………..H. turunda is a European species and time will tell if we even have that species here. Maybe something that looks the same but will need a new species name here?
