When: 2017-10-31

Collection location: Luzerne County Community College, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

Specimen available

Spores ~11-14 × 5.5-6.5, somewhat larger than reported dimensions.

These were a bit dried out. I returned to the same location two days later and there were some fresh specimens (presumably the same species).

Photographs here include surrounding flora (all planted on a sloping lawn). The small trees are a species of Carpinus. Also, a few un-IDed shrubs. Over one year ago a mature spruce tree (which appeared to be healthy) was cut down and removed from this spot. The stump remains.

I will make a subsequent observation for the fresher collection.
