When: 2017-11-03

Collection location: Clayton County Park, Imlaystown, New Jersey, USA [Click for map]

Who: Liz Broderick (Liz Broderick)

No specimen available

Notes:
Found in leaf litter in mixed woods. Smells like Lepista nuda, but definitely lacking the lilac coloration. These very fresh specimens don’t want to leave a spore print, but a faint pink tinge is seen on the older specimens.

These look a lot like C. robusta. But, can’t argue with a pale pink spore print. The yellow robusta print is really a lot different, as is the weird (unpleasant to some) odor.

Pale pink spore print and iris like odor support the Lepista irina ID.
