Observation 29728: Entoloma speculum (Fr.) Quél.

Collected by participant in The Wonderful World of Wild Mushrooms, specimen donated to MSSF Fungus Fair.

It was the third new species that I contributed to this years Fair species list (Amanita smithiana and A. gemmata exannulata were the first and second).

Recognized by sight: white cap, pink spores, no chlorine smell. before I looked at the spores, i thought this one might be a Rhodocollybia maculata! Scopes can be useful to get yourself to the right genera…
