Observation 297514: Suillus Gray

Habitat: Growing under pines in a public park in Northwest Georgia (Floyd County)

Pore surface: Gold, darkening with age/damage. Layer between flesh and top pores stains nearly black (dark blue) when cut/damaged. Slimy white veil over pores on younger specimens.

Flesh: Golden brown.

Stipe: Very short! Golden brown with red glandular dots. Gelatinous browwn annulus on older specimens.

Upper surface: Pale brown to cinnamon, convex to wavy

Spore print: Dark cinnamon brown

Slime taste: mild, maybe slightly sour.
