When: 2017-11-07

Collection location: Luzerne County Community College, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dave W (Dave W)

Specimen available

Notes:
Prominent sweetish/astringent/chemical odor with fresh material that dissipates completely once the mushrooms have dehydrated.

Gill edges crenulate.

Spores 12-14(16) x 6-7.5.

Same patch as obs 296890.

Last year (2016) a collection made form this same location (within the same 9 square yard area) was IDed as Hebeloma arenosum by Henry Beker. Initially, I thought the mushrooms seen here in this observation also represented H. arenosum, due to the location being the same.
