Phlebia coccineofulva as an ID.
A) The substrate was a live standing tree, an oak most likely given the overall habitat of oak/beech forest.
B) The color scheme seems wrong- P. coccineofulva seems to be a red main portion with a yellow edge on young and growing specimens, whereas this was a purple main portion with a red edge. http://www.mushroomexpert.com/phlebia_coccineofulva.html
