Cap/upper_surface: ca 1 cm across, occasionally fused; hairy; concentric zones of browns, deeper near the attachment point, lightening towards the margin, with a yellow margin when young; colors darken and cap becomes smooth with age.
Cap/underside: Gill-like pores, ca. 1mm thick and light-colored when young; darkening and thinning with age.
