Habitat: Growing on a rotting hardwood log on the side of a ridge in a mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in Northwest Georgia, Gordon County, US.

Gills: Fairly crowded with lamellulae and cross-veins. Stopping short at a cream-colored stem. White spores are visible on the gills of some specimens.

Stipe: Fairly short, cream colored.

Cap: Cracked and wrinkled, tan to pale orange with a kidney-like shape and inrolled margins. Texture is dry and fuzzy.

Spore print: white
