I knew this was a type of inky cap because of its delicate cap and how it practically disintegrated when I tried to pick it up to look closer. I’m really enjoying zooming in on the photographs to look at the little zigzag black lines. It was growing among redwoods and madrones and further away were oak and bay laurel.
