Notes:
Growing with mixed conifers @ ~ 5000ft.Caps up to 7.5 cm across and viscid.
Spores ~ 9.4-11.9 X 6.0-7.4 microns, ellipsoid to elongate(Qavg = 1.60) and slightly rough.
5% KOh on cap was light orange and just a slight orangy tint on the flesh and stipe.
No distinctive odor.

were Corts are known to grow. They are one of the more plentiful species but tend to grow in more northern and montane areas.

How do you find so many cortinarius?
