Observation 30032: Inocybe (Fr.) Fr.

When: 2009-12-08

Collection location: Bon Tempe Reservoir, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

Not sure what these are. They do have brown spores and the caps have scales.
The spores averaged about 9.5 X 5.2 microns and seemed pitted or rough, which didn’t quite show up in the photos.
They had an odor which seemed faintly spermatic.
The pictures seem to show some kind of coating on the upper stems which I didn’t note later when I examined them.
I included some micro shots of interesting areas of a gill section, but I’m not sure what signify.
