Fruiting gregariously in newly laid bark mulch. Universal and persistent veil, overall orange/rusty cap and gill color with dark/nearly black stems and the persistent veil are easy field marks for this deadly toxic species-contains toxins similar to Amanita phalloides and deadly Galerina species.
