I find this little slime mold about this time of year. It seems to enjoy the snow, and really decomposing Oak trunks. I have noticed something on many occasions about this yellow slime mold. when i have found this slime mold is its association with Galerina. I have documented now 12 such cases of finding this guy in association with Galerina. Perhaps there is some sort of symbiotic relationship between the two.
