Cap/upper_surface: High convex – 2-3 cm diameter – when young, becoming low convex to flat – 6-7 cm diameter – at maturity. Pale when young, darkening to rich brown with dark, almost black margin, at maturity. Smooth. Dry.
Cap/underside: Gills close; attached. Pale when young, becoming deeper brown at maturity.
Stipe: Narrow (ca. 7-8 mm) at apex, increasing in diameter slightly towards base. Basal mycelium white.

Spores: Ellipsoid; finely warted
