… at least generally speaking. Also, cap of thiersii often has more uniform fibrils separating into ‘blocky’ appressed squamae. NB — there aren’t a lot of photos of thiersii around yet…
Fibrils on stipe are ‘fine’ and can be evanescent over time.
Since the stem below the annulus doesn’t look very squamulose.
