Notes:
While originally calling these specimens "Boletus barrowsii, I’m now not fully convinced of that ID. It has been suggested that they could be a whitish form of Boletus edulis sometimes found along our northern coast. Until I find similar species and can study them more thoroughly, they are now relegated to sp. limbo….despite the recent repudiation of limbo.

It looks pretty different from the B. barrowsii I’ve found under live oak in Santa Cruz. What was the habitat for this one? Don’t suppose any of it went on the drier rather than the frying pan?
