Collection location: Alpine Lake, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]
These were growing in a cluster near Live Oak.
The spores were approx. 8.2-9.1 X 5.6-6.8 microns and fairly rough.
KOH reactions…cap, cap flesh, stipe, and stipe flesh all turned brown.
No strong or distinctive odor.
I believe they fall into the Telamonia subgenus but can’t find any match for them.
