Found another what appears to be a fungi on a fungi. This yellow mold like substance was growing in the bases of several clumps of Galerina and it appears to be growing on the mycellum that comes from the wood The species appears to be associated with Galerina autumnalis They are powdery yellow tufts some have started growing on the caps but most are around the bases of the stems. When examining them some peeled off in a clump. I’m wondering if it is some sort of Syzgites. This was growing on well decomposing bark less Oak on the side of a cliff.
