has distinctly dark-marginate gills. Without microscopy, practically none of our Leptonia (actually Entoloma subgenus Leptonia) are identifiable because of the way the monograph was constructed – relied heavily on somtimes dubious microcharacters. However, Largent can be commended for taking color photographs – this makes re=interpretation of his concepts.
