Spore print:looks fine.

I did the same thing as Erin and looked at where the lamellae are bent over in the second last picture and how that would create the void in the spore print below. Pholiota looks like a good start.

Darvin, I agree with you in regards to Pholiota.

I think the spore print may not be mixed up. Some Pholiota have especially rusty, light brown spores. And if you enlarge the spore print photo to full size, you can tell that the lamelle of the mushroom printed were uneven- check out the lower right hand section of the print.

I wonder if this is the wrong spore print for this mushroom. The spore print looks like it goes with a Russula. The mushroom looks like a Pholiota with short gills alternating with long gills. Any chance the spore print is misplaced with this mushroom?
