Observation 315915: Amanita subgenus Amanita

Single fb growing with pine and rather dried out.
Cap 7.3 cm across.
Spore print white and spores not amyloid.
Spores ~ 10.0-13.0 X 7.9-9.5(10.0) microns, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid, and smooth.


Spores in congo red + KOH @ 1000X

Rod, I didn’t take a photo of cross-section of the fresh fb,

but I just added a couple of photos of the cross-section of the dried one.
The stem interior was relatively solid as I recall.

That’s quite a significant volva limb at the base of the stem.
