Notes:
I was purposely searching for this particular species, and I found it after hunting for several days. I noticed there was no ovoid observations in Ashland, which surprised me.. This is the “Ohio river valley” after all.. The mushroom is brown with a greenish hue. After drying, I noticed it changed colors to a cream color, with brown in the the center. It has no visible veil, like Psilocybe cubensis. The blue bruising is not very evident, until they start drying some. Then, they almost completely turn blue, which is an indicator of a high Psilocybin content. The spore prints are brownish purple. I haven’t checked it under the microscope yet. But the nutty earthy mushroom smell is very assuring.
