Observation 317203: Xanthoconium Singer

Habitat: Growing at the top of a ridge in moist leaf litter (near oaks, sourwood, and a few pines) in a dense mixed hardwood/coniferous forest in NW Georgia (Gordon County), US.

Pores: pale to medium yellow, circular to elliptical, nonbruising.

Flesh: Crisp white, nonbruising.

Stipe: Buff to pale golden brown (with white flesh beneath), nonbruising.

Cap: Amber brown, dry, slight crackled appearance. Convex with central depression. Nonbruising.

Spore print color: Vivid golden/amber brown.

Flavor/Odor: Pleasant, ever so slightly sweet to indistinct.
