Observation 31865: Lecanora muralis (Schreber) Rabenh.

Locality: 29°16’28.21"N, 103°17’12.18"W, el. 1745-2170 m

Substrate and habitat: Fairly common on rocks and boulders in an open woodland of piñon, juniper, and oak.

Identification: saxicolous, pale yellowish rosette lichen with crowded lecanorine apothecia in the center and lobed periphery all suggest Lecanora muralis (which is in fact on the park list), but as Brodo and the MO notes for this species point out, there are a number of similar species, especially in the southwest

Common name: stonewall rim-lichen
