within 20 feet there are hackberry, coralberry and yaupon holly. Since there is no grass there, it could be a place where animals gather or sleep.

They were found on rich soil near an oxbow, with some rotting wood left from flooding.

Too bad they were lost.

The dark brown cap with contrasting color of the rest of the cap is very striking.
