When: 2018-06-11

Collection location: Bent Creek, North Carolina, USA [Click for map]

Who: Mike Hopping (AvlMike)

No specimen available

Notes:
found attached to rotting wood at the base of a very rotten oak stump in mixed woods with Eastern Hemlock and Eastern White Pine. My guess is that the oak was the substrate. Some spores were also slightly wider than the listed range for P. atromarginatus.

Cap diameter to 57 mm. Stipe length 52 mm, diameter 7 mm.
