Fallax vs. Cornucopioides

According to Wikipedia, fallax “replaces the European taxon Craterellus cornucopioides… in Eastern North America” – exactly where I found this specimen. Cornucopioides, however, “is found in woods in North America… under beech, oak or other broadleaved trees, especially in moss in moist spots…” – which also describes the environment of the specimen.
